ABOUT THE OWNER

A background in dance and competitive gymnastics cultivated Theresa Egler's passion for sports medicine.  At the age of 13, she knew she wanted to become a physical therapist and help injured athletes.  She graduated Cum Laude honors from Chapman University in 1996 with a B.S. in Movement and Exercise Physiology.  In 1999, she received a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona.  Her post-graduate education includes Pilates instructor training and advanced study of the shoulder, pelvis and knee.    Theresa has lectured on Pilates-based rehabilitation to orthopedic surgeons and published an article called “Prevention of Injuries in Pilates.”  After working as the director of four physical therapy clinics, she decided to open a private practice, Motion Pros Physical Therapy & Pilates.
